Assorted Jottings

  • God's judgement is his grace in reverse !
  • Amasa's recurring dream (which began in childhood) concerns her sitting (on the lap of ?) a prince whose face she cannot see, all upon a golden throne. In this dream she wears a crown and garments of the purest white linen (remember white to be a symbol of the upper castes)
  • This story must take place during the time that descendants of Shem, Japeth, Ham were dispersed but remnants of their peoples still populated the Holy Land and environs
  • That enduring mystery: why is there such persistent conflict in this Story of the Ages as recounted in the Bible, if God is omnipotent ? One possible reason: God has bound Himself to certain rules, rules to which the Resister, in turn, is not bound. Also, the only way to achieve a purified people to call His own is through conflict, which requires an elemental antagonist.
  • Most cities are built on rivers. Where is Praxae's river situated ? Will play into location of aqueducts, sewage and drainage systems.
  • Note: write it even if you don't understand it yet ! Figure it out later....
  • On dialogue: sometimes two people (esp. in an argument) will keep repeating the same essential point over and over, just using different words
  • Must write a scene in which Kyle and one of his rivals in the jyoro have a philosophical discussion (absolutist vs. relativist ?)
